After back-to-back wins in Malaysia and Singapore, Verstappen says rival upgrades and much drier conditions leave Red Bull's Austin prospects uncertain.

Max Verstappen is not assuming Red Bull's recent winning form will carry into Austin, despite consecutive victories in Malaysia and Singapore. Before the United States Grand Prix, he said some teams still had upgrades to bring and that it was too early to know how much they might gain.

Red Bull had been talked up in the paddock as the team to beat after the upgrades it took to Baku began working. Verstappen described the Malaysia and Singapore race weekends as extreme, particularly because of the high humidity; Austin, he said, is very different and especially dry.

He said Red Bull first needs to see how its power unit performs and what condition the Circuit of the Americas is in. For now, the team will focus on its own work and take each race as it comes, he added.
