Bortoleto asks Verstappen about Red Bull’s rise during online races

Online races sometimes prompt Gabriel Bortoleto to ask Max Verstappen about his experience at Red Bull before Verstappen won the world championship, including how the team worked. The Audi driver says they often discuss how he is feeling and developing, what he wants from Audi and how the team is progressing. He says the details stay between them.

The two are close friends outside Formula 1 and often race online. Bortoleto describes gaming as a way to switch off: “I’m laughing, I’m having fun, it’s not work.”

Bortoleto is in his second Formula 1 season and his first with Audi as a full works team. He is looking to apply what he learns from Verstappen’s Red Bull experience to Audi.
