US GP Friday schedule: Austin practice starts at 12:30pm

First practice for the United States Grand Prix is scheduled for 12:30pm CDT on Friday, October 23, at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. FP2 follows at 4pm.

Friday's forecast calls for hot, mostly sunny weather with scattered clouds and temperatures around 30°C. The chance of rain is about 3%, and both practice sessions are expected to be dry. Light to moderate winds and relatively high track temperatures could make tyre behaviour and thermal degradation a focus.

Viewing options depend on the country. In the United States, Apple TV is Formula 1's primary broadcast partner for 2026, with all sessions available on the platform; F1 TV remains the series' global subscription streaming service. Sky Sports shows every session live in the United Kingdom, with streams on Sky Go or NOW and free-to-air highlights on Channel 4.

FP3 is scheduled for 12:30pm CDT on Saturday, October 24, followed by qualifying at 4pm. Sunday's race is scheduled to start at 3pm local time.
