Brundle calls Verstappen’s Portimão race the best he has ever seen the Dutchman drive

“This is the best race I’ve ever seen Verstappen drive,” wrote F1TV analyst Alex Brundle on X. His post came during the GT World Challenge Europe race at Portimão, when Verstappen was running ninth after climbing from 24th in about 40 minutes.

Brundle called the racecraft on display in the series extraordinary. He also praised commentators David Addison and Joe Osborne, saying they knew the class inside out and had done excellent work calling the race in the dark, with only headlights to guide them.
