Colapinto sees online abuse easing but says community still has work to do

Franco Colapinto said on Thursday that he had seen improvement in online abuse since addressing the issue in a social-media video last month. He stressed that the wider community still needed to keep working on it.

Some accounts identifying as Colapinto supporters have directed abuse at other drivers and Alpine. Pierre Gasly has faced it from time to time since Colapinto joined the team, most recently after the Spanish Grand Prix.

Gasly also said he welcomed the support of Argentine fans at Interlagos and drew good energy from it.
