Norris praised Antonelli’s work to understand his car and get more from it after the Italian clinched the F1 title in Mexico.
Lando Norris praised Kimi Antonelli’s work to understand his car, saying the Italian had extracted more from it than any other driver in his title-winning season.
Norris said Antonelli had beaten a very strong team-mate throughout the season, and that doing so in only his second year in Formula 1 made the achievement especially impressive. Norris added that Antonelli “deserves every single bit of success.”
Antonelli clinched the championship at the Mexico City Grand Prix with four races to spare, finishing third behind Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. At 20 years and 68 days old, he became the youngest world champion in Formula 1 history.
