Antonelli says Senna family gave him a replica of Ayrton’s leather jacket

Kimi Antonelli says Ayrton Senna’s family gave him a set of keepsakes during his visit to their Brazilian estate: T-shirts, a replica of a statue honouring Senna and a replica of the brown leather jacket Senna always wore.

Antonelli visited Fazenda Dois Lagos in Tatuí on Tuesday, two days after securing his maiden Formula 1 championship. He said the family let him tour the estate, go karting on its track and ride in Senna’s 1986 Lotus. He described the visit as “very emotional.”

Antonelli is paying tribute to Senna at this weekend’s Brazilian Grand Prix, 35 years after Senna won his first home race in 1991. He called the result “incredible” and said he could not wait to use it on track.
