Leclerc said he could also be unhappy about Hamilton’s Turn 1 move, but viewed it as part of a fight for victory.
After the Mexico City Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc said he could also be unhappy with Lewis Hamilton for pushing him off track at Turn 1. He added: “I think it's racing. When you are fighting for a win, it's the way it should be.”
Leclerc said he would speak with Hamilton. The Ferrari team-mates had been fighting for the lead on the opening lap; at Turn 4, both missed the apex. Leclerc stayed ahead, and Max Verstappen passed Hamilton in the ensuing chaos. Leclerc later said the time penalty he received after keeping position was deserved.
