Antonelli says Austin win was probably better executed than Monza comeback

After Sunday's United States Grand Prix, Kimi Antonelli said his Austin victory was probably better executed than his Monza win, pointing to the performance he and Mercedes built over the weekend.

Antonelli started from pole at the Circuit of the Americas and beat Charles Leclerc by 13 seconds with a one-stop strategy; other frontrunners opted for two stops.

The Monza victory came in September, after a power-unit change left him starting 19th. Antonelli fought through the field to win. He said Mercedes had the fastest car there and overtaking was relatively easy, but called it “one that I will remember forever.”
