Hadjar says his pace has been good and a major result is only a matter of time, despite frustration over a run of disrupted weekends.
Isack Hadjar believes a major result is only a matter of time, despite what he describes as an especially frustrating run of races. Ahead of the Brazilian Grand Prix, he said he thought his own pace had been pretty good and that he would keep pushing.
That run followed his return from a wrist injury in Azerbaijan, where he scored his second podium of the year. Hadjar dropped to fifth late in Malaysia, encountered engine trouble in Singapore qualifying and then a software-mapping problem in Austin that left him sixth. In Mexico, after a good start, he was involved in contact with George Russell and spun, then spun again at the restart after the red flag.
Hadjar said that something had happened each Sunday except in Malaysia, making the sequence particularly frustrating. He sees the changeable conditions in Brazil as a source of opportunity, but says he will need to stay especially sharp.
