For the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix, organisers confirmed that an altar for Día de Muertos would be installed in the circuit’s Blue Zone, dedicated to members of the motorsport community who have died.

The race weekend coincided with Día de Muertos, when families remember loved ones who have died. Ofrendas—altars created in homes, cemeteries and public spaces—bring together photographs, personal belongings and offerings.
