After Friday’s running, Norris expected a very wet Saturday and Hadjar said rain could arrive in third practice. Antonelli was less certain; by 12:50, a dry third practice looked likely.
After Friday’s running, Lando Norris expected a soaking Saturday at the Brazilian Grand Prix, while Isack Hadjar said rain could arrive as early as third practice. Heavy rain, possibly with thunderstorms, was also possible during qualifying.
In 2024, heavy rain pushed Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying to Sunday morning; Max Verstappen then won from the back of the field.
Norris joked that a raincoat, a camera cover and even a hat would be useful. Hadjar said he would bet on rain and that its arrival in third practice would require immediate adaptation.
Kimi Antonelli was less certain. He said the outlook was unclear and that they were preparing for every scenario. Rain had seemed imminent during Friday’s second practice too, he noted, but ultimately did not arrive.
At 12:50, the sun was shining and temperatures were 26°C in Brazil; a rain front lay kilometres south of the circuit. Third practice therefore looked likely to stay dry.
