Formula 1's five-judge panel highlights Verstappen's rise from fifth to second on the opening lap and his control of two restarts under Hamilton's pressure.
Formula 1's Power Rankings highlight Max Verstappen's recovery at the Mexico City Grand Prix. He surged from fifth to second on the opening lap, inherited the lead after Charles Leclerc's penalty and controlled two restarts as Lewis Hamilton kept pressing. Hamilton finished second, 0.799 seconds behind the Red Bull.
F1's five-judge panel scores every driver out of 10 for weekend performance, setting machinery aside. The judges' marks are averaged into a race score and accumulated across the season in an overall Power Rankings table.
Hamilton also features for taking his 105th pole, his first for Ferrari, by 0.009 seconds over George Russell. An early scrap with teammate Leclerc cost him ground to Verstappen, but Hamilton kept pushing after the final restart.
The feature also highlights Kimi Antonelli's climb from fourth to third via a pass on Leclerc, which earned the points he needed to seal the Drivers' Championship. Liam Lawson made the selection too: after a qualifying disqualification for a technical breach, he charged from the pit lane to seventh, with post-race penalties helping his recovery.
