Lawson says he is not thinking about his F1 future

Still without a contract for next season, Liam Lawson said after the United States Grand Prix that he did not know when he would be announced and was not really thinking about it at the time. The Racing Bulls driver told Jolyon Palmer during F1 TV’s live post-race coverage that he was getting on with the racing and enjoying it.

During qualifying in Austin, Lawson reached Q3 but accepted his team’s request not to go out in the final segment, to help a team-mate who had a grid penalty. He was still ninth on the starting grid and finished ninth in the race.
