Verstappen says he lacks time now for Ricciardo’s Le Mans idea

Max Verstappen says he currently lacks the time to devote to a possible Le Mans project with Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel, given his other activities outside Formula 1.

Ricciardo, who retired from F1 last year and now serves as a Ford Racing ambassador, suggested on a recent podcast that he could race at Le Mans with Verstappen and Vettel. Verstappen joked, “He's a smart man to choose me in the car,” and said he and Ricciardo had discussed the idea before.

Verstappen said he thought Ricciardo had said he did not see himself returning for a full season. He described one-off appearances as interesting. To have a chance of winning against drivers who compete throughout the season, any Le Mans effort would need thorough preparation and the right timing, Verstappen said.
