Lance Stroll will miss Thursday’s media day at Interlagos while recovering from a viral infection contracted in Mexico, Aston Martin said. The team said he was recovering well and was confident he would return to the paddock on Friday.
Stroll finished the Mexico City round before symptoms emerged. Aston Martin said it was keeping him away from São Paulo paddock duties as a precaution.
Fernando Alonso will take Stroll’s place in the second drivers’ press conference, handling those media duties alongside his usual commitments.
