After Kimi Antonelli became Formula 1’s youngest world champion at the 2026 Mexican Grand Prix, Juan Pablo Montoya said he wanted to see Antonelli and Max Verstappen fight directly on track.

Looking at how Red Bull and Mercedes are performing, Montoya said he would not be surprised if they fought for the 2027 constructors’ championship. He expects Antonelli to be free of pressure after his title win, believes Mercedes will be competitive and says Verstappen will be a threat.
