F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said the 2026 season remains scheduled to finish in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, but stopped short of guaranteeing the races amid Middle East tensions.
Formula 1 still plans to end its 2026 season with races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, CEO Stefano Domenicali said, but he stopped short of guaranteeing them amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Speaking on Liberty Media’s third-quarter earnings call, Domenicali said F1 was continuing to plan for the two races “at this stage”. He still expected the 2026 calendar to run to 23 races, one fewer than in 2025.
The calendar has already been altered: the Saudi Arabian round was cancelled, and the Bahrain Grand Prix was staged in Malaysia.
