Verstappen jokes outsiders may not hear Red Bull radio

Max Verstappen joked in Brazil that people outside Red Bull might not be able to hear him over the team radio — and said he hoped it would stay that way. The team could hear him clearly, he said.

His joke came after a question about what Red Bull had changed to address recurring radio and gear-shift problems. In Austin, a week before the Mexican Grand Prix, the radio connection with the pit wall repeatedly faltered; team-mate Isack Hadjar had the same issue.

Verstappen said Red Bull had tried several things and that the radio was much better in Mexico. Only a few small settings remained to be adjusted, he said.
