Marko says Red Bull’s F1 turnaround is a feat only the team could achieve

In an interview with Krone, Helmut Marko called Red Bull’s return to winning form a feat only the team could achieve.

At the start of the 2026 campaign, Red Bull was more than a second off the front-running pace; Marko said its car was only the fourth-fastest. Red Bull came close to victory in Azerbaijan after introducing a Baku-specification floor and aerodynamic upgrade, then won in Sepang and Singapore.

Marko also linked Max Verstappen’s recent resurgence to the RB22’s transformation. He said the Dutchman was highly motivated again and called his Singapore race one of the best of his career.
