Verstappen exits Brazilian GP qualifying after 18 minutes in the rain

After 18 minutes of running in the rain, Max Verstappen climbed out of his RB22, ending his Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying early. He had repeatedly set the fastest time during the session.

Verstappen had a 30-place grid penalty for the Grand Prix and finished the session 16th. A 21st-place start was considered likely, although a pit-lane start remained possible.
