Mekies: Red Bull will seize every chance to move Verstappen and Hadjar up the order

Red Bull will focus on its own race while taking every opportunity to help Max Verstappen and Isack Hadjar move up the order in Sunday's São Paulo Grand Prix, team principal Laurent Mekies said. He pointed to the unpredictability of racing in Brazil and said the race would be especially challenging for Verstappen, who has to start from the back.

Mekies said Verstappen's grid penalty followed a power-unit change. He added that the various grid penalties gave Hadjar fifth on the starting grid. Mekies called that a good position, but said Hadjar had hoped for more after a very strong Q2.
