Hamilton says Ferrari led the way in innovation with its 2026 car, pointing to designs he believes are now used across the grid.

Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari led the way in innovation on its 2026 car, pointing to concepts he believes other teams have since adopted. His examples were the Macarena rear wing and a wing Ferrari placed just behind the exhaust; he said every team now uses them.

Ferrari introduced updates for the SF-26 in Austin, including changes to the floor, sidepods and bodywork. Hamilton said the package was not one enormous upgrade but was spread over several races so its parts could become available as soon as possible.

Hamilton said the team's development work had produced extra performance. He also said Ferrari wants to carry its energy and drive into next year; if it can improve efficiency further, the team will look at other areas where it can make progress.
