Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll retired on lap five; Aston Martin cited abnormal pressure levels in its power-unit systems. It was the fifth time this season that both Honda-powered Aston Martins failed to finish.

Aston Martin's Mexico City Grand Prix ended for both cars on lap five of 71: Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll retired. The team said abnormal pressure levels in the power-unit systems led it to retire both cars.

Alonso made it back to the garage in his AMR26, while Stroll had to stop on track, bringing out a short virtual safety car.

Alonso had also retired from Q1 on Saturday with a water-pressure issue. This was the fifth time this season that both Honda-powered Aston Martins failed to finish.
