Mohammed Ben Sulayem congratulated Kimi Antonelli on his F1 title and urged him not to let success change him.

FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem has urged Kimi Antonelli to remain himself after the Mercedes driver clinched his first Formula 1 drivers' championship at last weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix.

In a congratulatory social-media post from the FIA, Ben Sulayem said he was emotional about the title and that he had seen Antonelli work under pressure without complaining. He also recalled signing the driver's first super licence last year.

At 20, Antonelli is Formula 1's youngest world champion and Italy's first title-winner in 73 years.
