BWT Alpine was fined €100 after Franco Colapinto’s car exceeded the pit-lane limit by 0.6 km/h in São Paulo GP first practice.

FIA stewards fined BWT Alpine F1 Team €100 after car 43, driven by Franco Colapinto, exceeded the pit-lane speed limit during Free Practice 1 at the São Paulo Grand Prix on 6 November 2026.

The decision records 80.6 km/h against the event’s 80 km/h limit, an excess of 0.6 km/h. The fine is imposed on Alpine as the competitor, not on Colapinto.

The notice says competitors may appeal certain stewards’ decisions within applicable time limits, but does not say whether Alpine intends to appeal.

The ruling assigns the fine to BWT Alpine F1 Team as the competitor and identifies Colapinto as the driver of car 43. It records a 0.6 km/h excess over the 80 km/h event limit.
