Pierre Gasly said test administrators woke him at 06:00 on Thursday for a random anti-doping test before the São Paulo Grand Prix; he described the night as bad and his mood as poor.

Pierre Gasly said test administrators woke him at 06:00 on Thursday for a random anti-doping test ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix. After what he described as a bad night, he told media: “I got woken up at 06:00 for a doping test this morning, so I'm not in the best mood.”

Asked whether he was optimistic about Interlagos, Gasly said he loves the circuit. He described it as the only track where he has had two F1 podiums, in 2019 and again in 2024, the latter in the rain, and said the prospect of rain on Sunday made him excited.

F1 drivers are subject to World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules. The FIA has long complied with WADA's codes, and random tests can take place throughout the year, including before Grand Prix weekends.
