The race was stopped after Valtteri Bottas crashed at Turn 1; RacingNews365 reports that a suspension failure preceded the incident.

RacingNews365 reports that the suspension broke on the long straight, then Bottas went straight on at high speed at Turn 1 and struck the Tecpro barrier. The Grand Prix was red-flagged after a brief Safety Car period because the barrier had shifted.

Bottas told his team over the radio that he was not entirely okay, the outlet reports. Before the stoppage, Max Verstappen had taken the lead after Kimi Antonelli’s pit stop. RacingNews365 said the red flag allowed the field to change tyres before the restart.

Not verified with the FIA.

This is an in-race interruption, not a result. Attribute the suspension-failure and radio details to RacingNews365; do not infer injury, driver fault or an official FIA finding.
