Red Bull mechanic compares Verstappen to Ronaldo and Messi

Ole Schack will leave Red Bull after the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend, ending a stint of about 20 years with the team. The veteran mechanic, who has worked closely with Max Verstappen in recent years, said of the four-time world champion: “He is like Ronaldo and Messi, but in a Formula 1 car.”

Schack told De Telegraaf that Verstappen has an extra quality that cannot be taught. He said he knows the driver's habits in the car and sees the Dutchman as essentially the same person he was ten years ago—honest in his dealings with the media.

Schack described Red Bull's atmosphere as special. He said the team has grown more mature while still playing the loudest music in the pit lane. After leaving, he wants to spend more time with his family.
