McLaren is the only team to have declared new parts for this weekend’s São Paulo Grand Prix at Interlagos, RacingNews365 reports, citing the FIA’s car-submission filing. The package includes a new front wing, rear wing, beam wing and floor.
The front-wing concept also looks ahead: RacingNews365 says it doubles as an early track test of aerodynamic ideas McLaren is exploring for its 2027 car.
RacingNews365 says Lando Norris hopes the upgrades will move McLaren back towards Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull after a five-race run without a podium. It adds that neither McLaren personnel nor outside technical analysts have put a specific lap-time gain on the package; the evaluation is said to focus instead on downforce efficiency.
