Formula 1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali congratulated Mercedes after its 2026 constructors’ title and said team principal Toto Wolff’s ninth title with the team had put him level with Sir Frank Williams.
Mercedes clinched the championship at the Brazilian Grand Prix with three races to spare. George Russell finished fourth and Kimi Antonelli fifth, leaving second-placed Ferrari unable to catch Mercedes.
Mercedes had won eight constructors’ titles in a row from 2014 to 2021. Domenicali credited the latest crown to the hundreds of people at the circuit and factory, saying it was “never the achievement of one person alone.” He described Wolff’s place alongside Williams as a testament to his leadership and vision.
