Rafael Camara says he has a lot to learn before making his Formula 1 debut for Haas at his home race, the São Paulo Grand Prix. He called the chance to make his first F1 start in Brazil a special moment. The Brazilian will replace Esteban Ocon and drive a 2026 F1 car for the first time this weekend.
In Haas’s weekend preview, Camara said he was grateful to the team for the opportunity and thanked Ferrari for its continued support. He said he would focus on working closely with Haas, understanding the car and doing the best job he could over the weekend.
Camara currently leads the Formula 2 standings and is set to become a full-time Haas driver in 2027. His first Grand Prix for the team has been brought forward to this weekend in São Paulo.
