An FIA technical delegate’s report says Lindblad will use his seventh internal combustion engine and sixth turbocharger of the season; Bortoleto will use his sixth energy store and sixth control electronics unit. Each exceeds its 2026 allowance.
Arvid Lindblad will use his seventh internal combustion engine of the 2026 season at the São Paulo Grand Prix, three above the four permitted. His new turbocharger will be his sixth, two above its four-unit allowance, an FIA technical delegate’s report says.
Gabriel Bortoleto will use his sixth energy store and sixth control electronics unit; the season allowance for each is three. The report marks all four components as non-compliant with their respective provisions of Article B8.2.2 in the 2026 sporting regulations.
The FIA technical delegate approved all the listed replacements under Article B3.5.4, the report says. This is a technical report to the stewards, not itself a stewards’ penalty decision.
