Verstappen jabs Hamilton after outside move in Mexico

Max Verstappen held off Lewis Hamilton to win the Mexico Grand Prix, then turned Hamilton’s outside attack into a post-race jibe.

At the restart after a red flag caused by Valtteri Bottas, Hamilton tried to pass around the outside at Turn 1. The cars briefly touched, but Verstappen kept him behind on the soft tyres.

Speaking to Viaplay after the race, Verstappen said he was recalling what Hamilton had said a few weeks earlier: a world champion cannot be overtaken on the outside.
