FIA stewards gave Rafael Camara his first reprimand of the season after finding he unnecessarily impeded Charles Leclerc in São Paulo GP FP2.

The FIA stewards have given Rafael Camara a driving reprimand after finding that he unnecessarily impeded Charles Leclerc in FP2 at the São Paulo Grand Prix. The decision identifies the incident at Turn 15 and says it is Camara’s first reprimand of the season.

The stewards said Camara had received repeated warnings that Leclerc was approaching on a fast lap, but Camara was weaving and moving into the racing line. They found Leclerc had to take evasive action to the right to avoid a collision, with a significant portion of his car off the track. The stewards described the situation as clearly dangerous and said a reprimand was warranted, although a warning is typical for impeding in practice.

The decision says the stewards heard from Camara and team representatives and reviewed video, team radio and in-car footage. It notes that certain steward decisions may be appealed within the applicable time limits, but does not state whether an appeal is planned.

This is a new report following our earlier article.

The complete FIA decision gives an explicit ruling on the same Camara-Leclerc FP2 incident covered by the earlier investigation report. This is a new decision to link as an Update, not a duplicate.
