Late rain brought the leading group back onto intermediates, but Norris held on for his third win of the season. Verstappen finished second and Hadjar third.
Lando Norris held on as rain returned late in the São Paulo Grand Prix, winning at Interlagos by 14.602 seconds over Max Verstappen. Isack Hadjar finished third, 24.485 seconds behind the winner.
Kimi Antonelli took the lead at the start, with Liam Lawson moving past Norris into second. Norris said after the race that his launch had not been his best. Antonelli was more than eight seconds ahead of Norris by lap 14. Shortly before spinning at Turn 1, he had reported that something felt wrong with the car; Norris inherited the lead.
Verstappen's charge from 21st brought him into the podium places as Antonelli went wide. On lap 39, Hadjar was asked to hand third to his Red Bull team-mate, and complied.
Norris stopped for soft tyres on lap 51, briefly putting Hadjar in front. Antonelli later took the lead, but pitted on lap 58 and sent Norris back to the front. Rain arrived on lap 60; by lap 64, Norris, Verstappen, Hadjar and Antonelli had all changed to intermediates. Norris held on for his third victory of the season.
