Perez under investigation after object seen leaving cockpit at Interlagos

Sergio Perez is under investigation by the São Paulo Grand Prix stewards after something was seen coming out of his Cadillac’s cockpit during an out-lap near the end of final practice at Interlagos. The stewards cited him for alleged driving in an unsafe condition and will speak to him before qualifying.

His race engineer, Carlo Pasetti, asked over the radio what Perez had thrown from the car. Perez said something had come off: “I think the radio, where you put the radio cables. A little box.”
